Would a stock bseries block have to be bore out slightly in order to use these pistons?

yes and I don't advise you to bore out your engine here if you decide to buy these pistons. Had bad experiences with machine shops here in relation to boring blocks

what about others that have done this and have no problems whatsoever?? just like some people would run go buy head gasket from Kendall just to save money rather than go buy proper ones from Harney that nah go blow across the cylinders
