Okay guys, trying to work with the shipping agents here that sponsored the Invasion of the Imports 3 event here in Antigua on June 22nd - June 24th, 2007.

We all thought that the event was in July but it was June. Those cars have been here for 4 months and counting now. December will make half a year.

I will have some information today if the lady over at shipping opens her mouth on the situation. She has been really tight lipped with the info. So am working on it.

Thats the latest update, with that figured out we can know exactly where we are at with this.

NEWS FLASH!!! NEWS FLASH!!!

Now after meeting with a source, He claims that Stuart was supposed to have gotten an extended stay on the cars, however, this must not have been done in a timely manner and therefore the customs wants duty paid on all the vehicles. It is then to government that wa slooked upon to have that charge exempted. Thus causing a major slow-up.

Now for where Stuart went wrong, as backed up in a corner as this, he must realsie that hiding is not an option and at this time sponging will not be either. He may just have to make up his mind and call the event a loss and spend the money earnt from the event. Even if he is left broke. It sounds like a dunce thing to say but i rather lose and have me alone go down than lose and walk with Antigua AND Barbuda with me one time.

I was told that we can't do nothing but arrange a meeting for the promoters which would not be in our jurisdiction at all. I don't think Stuart's intention was not indeed for things to happen this way but when he was surprised with those charges and is now at cross-roads.

To date there is nothing we can do at this stage but keep you guys updated on what is happening. Am really sorry we have kicked our foot on a stone and the most i see us doing from here is beg the promoters to face the music and see how they can bear costs of moving the containers out.

Really sorry guys, i hope things work out at this point. Can't say we won't be thinking of nothing but i know from this point here on we will be dragging in over our heads. This is officially a decision or a plan that the promoters got to pull out of their thinking caps.

so can I just organise a different container shipment and move my stuff into that container and ship my car back and leave the old container to the promoters?

Well one of the managers at the shipping company now has the information from this forum as they were printed not too long ago so am just awaiting a response.

Now as the person soully responsible for most of the posts and the like pertaining to this matter, i would like to say that Stuart and the CARIBMOTORWORLD corporation was innocently bashed by myself and others i had relied on information.

I stand corrected as i was given the correct information that puts legitimacy to the word that Stuart had been relaying all this time. The port charge as i had listed above, is another arrangement that has been sorted out with the shipping company and Carib Motor World. The problem is really the cabinet decision as told to us and everyone else by Stuart and his team.

I have received the correct and proper information and to date the most precise and correct information. I wont go around handing out blame but i know that it is not the fault of Carib Motor World as i had been corrected in the presence of Michael on this forum this morning.
